What is this all About?

I imagine a CEO of a big company slamming his fist on the table, "C'mon marketing! Our target consumer is the average mom... who is she?" Well, let me tell you. This average mom has a husband, two kids, a cat and a large dog. My house is semi-clean but usually cluttered with laundry piling up on the couch. I'm not good at doing the dishes after dinner, but I'm a fantastic mom. I love my kids. I decided to start this blog when trying to choose an anti-wrinkle cream for my face. I searched the internet for consumer reviews and couldn't find one that I trusted. So, I tried a product, became a fan and wanted to share my review with all the other moms who are bombarded with life and don't have the time to hunt down the truth.

My Anti-Wrinkle Regime

I stand in front of the mirror and analyze my 6 months post baby body... Having a baby wreaks havoc on your body. And even though celebrities lose everything plus some in two weeks, the reality is that we'll never be the same. I've accepted that and have actually started spreading the rumor that it's acceptable to wear a Snuggie in public. I know that I'll never be able to erase the stretch marks; I'm okay with that. The saggy boobs are a future project. My weight is 15 pounds away from pre-baby (meaning the first one:) jeans. But I've noticed something new.

--WAIT A MINUTE-- Is that a worry wrinkle on my forehead?! I'm only 28!!

My baby skin world is crashing down all around me. "Stop freaking out MEGAN!" With every expression I make in the mirror, deep lines appear on my face. I began to remember the countless summers I applied tanning oil to my face, or every night I went to bed without washing my face. What was 15 year-old Megan thinking? Idiot! I have destroyed my chances of not looking like this:

Okay, there's got to be a product out there that will rewind some of the damage without sending me to a plastic surgeon.I just need to preserve what I've already got. I don't have a bank account to cover the popular anti-wrinkle regimes of Strivectin and microdermabrasions, so I turned to something affordable: Garnier Nutritioniste

I had never used this product before and to be honest I purchased it only because it was on sale. I hoped that it would make a difference, but from what I learned from my internet research, there isn't a product out there that has the same effect as microdermabrasions and chemical peels (all of which I can't afford). I'm not saying that Garnier is going to give you the same results, but I began to notice a significant difference in my face within two weeks. My face felt and looked tighter. The ultimate result was a blind compliment from my husband. "Hey Megs, your skin looks good." Ok, if he noticed, there must be an improvement. So here comes my product review:

Name: Garnier Nutritioniste Ultra-Lift Pro Deep Wrinkle Roller

Price: On Sale for $10

Product Details: When you put it on it has a nice smell. It is very thin and rolls on easily. Your face instantly feels tighter as if you've put a layer of glue over the top. It's not sticky like glue, so don't worry, and it dries fairly quickly. I experience a slight burn when I put it on. I don't know why but I like the burn, as if the stuff is actually doing something (I'm weird).

Secret Ingredient: The newest thing on the market is PRO-XYLANE. I had no idea what this was until I did a little research on the web. Every review about anti-wrinkle/aging seemed to mention it, so I figured it was important. Here's what it is (someone else's words):

A sugar-derivative, this patent-pending molecule mimics xylose, a type of sugar naturally found in the skin, to dramatically boost and strengthen skin’s moisture content, a patented scientific breakthrough: helps restore essential moisture deep in skin’s surface, replenishing the eye contour to improve firmness and luminosity – as if signs of aging are visibly repaired. Repairs visible signs of aging by restoring skin’s essential moisture • Improves elasticity and firmness • Diminishes appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
